Did You Know?

female dentists

1) Your teeth are like sponges.. they absorb.

Your teeth have pores just like your skin or a sponge. Anything you put in your mouth that has color will absorb into those pores. Wine, coffee, cola, dark berries, tetracycline (antibiotics), and smoking are extremely active in staining teeth. Over time, the natural color of your teeth becomes darker due to these stains. These stains will never go away unless you actively remove them. Our properly formulated teeth whitening gel works by absorbing into your teeth and gently pushing stains out through the pores.

2) Teeth Whitening does not damage your teeth.

Just like aggressive brushing of your teeth, abuse of any kind can be damaging. However, if used as instructed, professional teeth whitening is incredibly safe. The Whitening process uses active ingredients to temporarily open pores in your teeth and lift stains. After each whitening session, your teeth naturally remineralize and rehydrate.

3) Dentist in the US charge $600 to $1000+ for a Laser teeth whitening procedure.

Dentist charge $600 to $1000+ for a Laser teeth whitening procedure. You pay this hefty fee because they are doctors and their chair time is valuable. Operating a lab, performing other major dental procedures, doing the hand work, and scheduling multiple appointments costs dentist time and money. Halo Ali focuses solely on the cosmetic portion of teeth whitening. Therefore, we put all of our time and energy into making sure we have the safest and most effective product and services on the market.

4) Sensitivity after teeth whitening is normal.

More than 60% of Americans have naturally sensitive teeth. This is most often caused by genetics, thin enamel, or crack/damaged teeth. During the Whitening process, it is completely normal for sensitivity to occur. The teeth become temporarily dehydrated which reduces their ability to insulate the nerve from changes in temperature. Sensitivity will disappear 24-48 hours after whitening. We offer a post Whitening fluoride sensitivity blocker treatment gel to nourish the teeth and promote re hydration.

5) Crowns and porcelain veneers cannot be whitened. (Composite Veneers can be whitened back to their original color only)

When artificial caps and porcelain veneers are installed, they are created to match the color of your surrounding teeth. The material is created a darker (or lighter) color and can only be changed if had them placed for at least 6 plus years & they’ve acquired some staining over the years. Teeth whitening will not damage dental work. If your composite veneers stain we do offer maintenance to restore them back to their normal color.

6) Some deep stains on teeth cannot be removed overnight.

No product on the market can whiten teeth into marshmallow white teeth in just a few minutes. Chemically, it is impossible for any whitening agent to safely penetrate deep enough into teeth at that speed. If this were possible dentist would not be paid well to perform professional teeth whitening procedures. Everyone is different and it is a process. The truth is that the whitening process can take as little as few as weeks and up to several months to achieve the results that you may be looking for. Customers with severe stains must be patient with the process and know that each Whitening session removes years of stains. Once those stains are gone, it is incredibly easy to maintain. You will leave with same day results, however, it may take some time for us to fully restore your smile back to their normal natural shade.

7) Not everyone’s teeth can be perfectly white.

Regardless of your stains, the natural color (and genetic makeup) of an individual’s teeth are set at birth. The only thing a whitening product can do is brighten and possibly remove all the stains that have accumulated over time. We will try our absolute best to get you the maximum results in order to give you that smile that you deserve. Your teeth should only be as white as the white color in your eyes.

8) Whitening and cleaning aren’t the same.

Oftentimes, our teeth accumulate calculus deposits and superficial stains which make our teeth look yellowish or dirty. If you have an excessive amount of hard yellow tartar/calculus on your teeth, we recommend you book your cleaning with your dentist before booking with us. One can only get rid of stubborn stains by getting a professional laser teeth whitening procedure done and enjoying the wonderful results and benefits it has to offer.
